Janet Shliz, MSCE <br />Plan Checker <br />Years of Experience <br />34+ <br />Education <br />B.S., Civil Engineering, Moldova Polytechnical Institute, 1977 <br />M.S., Civil Engineering, Moldova Polytechnical Institute, 1979 <br />Ms. Shliz has over 34 years of experience in plan review, planning, and design of civil engineering <br />projects. During her 15 years with Charles Abbott Associates, Inc., she has reviewed many projects in <br />Southern California ranging from grading plans (rough and precise) to erosion control, street <br />improvement and parking lot plans. She has spent most of her years with CAA reviewing projects for <br />several of our municipal clients in Southern California, many of which are in LA and Orange Counties. <br />Janet has designed and reviewed numerous CIP projects from, bidding, and construction, through <br />completion for several agencies. Her past experience includes pavement management and evaluation, <br />street maintenance and rehabilitation, street widening, parking facilities, public transportation facilities, <br />parks and recreation, and other CIP projects, and coordination with local, state, and federal agencies. <br />Most of her experience is in municipal arena. <br />Recent Project Experience <br />• City of Yucaipa, Uptown improvement project plan review <br />• City of Yucaipa, 120 unit Senior Apartments grading and SWPPP review <br />• Nye County Nevada, Blagg Road preparation of plans and specifications for the reconstruction of <br />previously failed road <br />e City of Twentynine Palms, Adobe road preparation of plans and specifications for the street <br />rehabilitation project <br />professional government services 13 <br />City Council 15 — 124 7/16/2024 <br />
