1.6.9 Hazardous Building Material Survey <br />Consultant will prepare asbestos -containing material <br />(ACM) survey in accordance with local South Coast Air <br />quality management District Rule 1403 requirement <br />and the United States Environmental Protection Agency <br />(EPA) National Emission Standards for Hazardous <br />Air Pollutants regulations for asbestos. In addition, <br />consultant will prepare Lead -based paint (LBP) survey <br />to evaluate the applicability of the lead in construction <br />standard Title B California Code of Regulations section <br />15321 Survey reports will document the current <br />conditions of samples ACMs, LBPs, and estimated <br />quantities of hazardous building materials from the <br />building in preparation for the planned demolition. <br />Items to be surveyed and sampled to accessible and <br />visible to the best of the consultants ability and does <br />not include underground or encased materials. <br />PHASES 2-4: DESIGN/ENGINEERING <br />Phases: <br />After Scoping of the Project in Phase 1 - the Project <br />will proceed through the following phases. Drawings <br />will be prepared for submission to the City for review, <br />Comments will be responded to in the following phase: <br />Phase 2 Design Development 60% <br />Phase 3 Plan Check Submission 90% <br />Phase 4 Permit Back Check Submission 100% <br />The scope includes: <br />Demotition: <br />The Consultant shall prepare drawings identifying the <br />extent of demolition of the State Building and portjons <br />of the Plaza, <br />The Consultant will provide limited structural inputs <br />to be used by the Task 2 Demolition Subcontractor <br />for their use in determining means and methods of <br />demolition. <br />Permits related to the means and methods of <br />demolition will be obtained through deferred approvals <br />by the to be selected demolition subcontractor. <br />Procedures for safe conduct of the work in the work <br />zone will also be part of the means and methods, which <br />wilt be obtained through deferred approvals by the to be <br />selected demolition subcontractor. <br />PHASE 5: Bidding: <br />The Consultant shalt support Bernards in bidding the <br />project. <br />Schedule <br />The Consultants propose to complete these tasks <br />within the 6 month period suggested in the RFQ. <br />The cost for all the service provided listed above is <br />$765,4B1 <br />Please see attached fee schedule and hourly rate. <br />RFO NO.: 24-032 1 State Building Demolition Project <br />
