This allows time for sign ups for the <br />workshop to reach an optimal number of students. The Center will make decisions on when to <br />schedule the participant workshops in consultation with HRMS. <br />NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS SERVED <br />This proposal schedules 12 monthly workshops with 15 students served per month, for a total of <br />180 students. The workshops cover 18 hours of material in three or six hour segments. In the first <br />month, Santa Ana WIOIRIK Center staff would receive training as an in -kind contribution. Staff <br />would be able to use knowledge gained from the course in all job related contact with <br />participants, thus extending the value of the program to all participants who have contact with <br />staff. <br />Students will receive a courseware booklet for each class showing the content of each <br />PowerPoint slide and listing all Web sites mentioned in the curriculum. Customer satisfaction <br />surveys are performed after each sequence of classes. The curriculum also includes customized <br />pre and post knowledge tests to assure learning takes place. <br />At the conclusion of this sequence of classes, students will be competent and well versed in the <br />world of Internet employment, career management, and job retention. This will help staff to <br />improve customer service and placement, and provide clients access to a lifetime source of <br />continuing career growth. <br />The 7-module workshop represents a total of 18 hours of instructor -led, hands-on classroom <br />time; <br />7 <br />
