REVISED WORK PROGRAM <br />Task 1.1. Evaluation of Architectural and Historical Resources <br />1.1 Review existing documentation includ.in : <br />a. California Office of Historic Preservation database. Request <br />State database of properties in Santa Ana. This database <br />should contain the 1500 properties surveyed in Santa Ana with <br />State matching grants, buildings and districts listed in the <br />National Register of Historic Places, and buildings and <br />districts officially determined eligible to '(but not listed <br />in) the National Register. If possible, obtain copies of <br />inventory and National Register forms. Verify evaluations <br />assigned to surveyed resources. <br />b. Files and reports. Locate files accumulated in prior surveys <br />to determine extent and limitations of research and to clarify <br />research procedures and evaluations. <br />C. City surveys and files. Review City surveys of designated <br />districts and Santa Ana Historical Register Properties. <br />d. Photographic survey of all pre--1940 structures in the City. <br />Obtain copies of the photographic survey, in one or more of <br />the following formats: <br />* Survey binders. Organized by neighborhood with maps <br />locating documented areas and containing addresses, <br />photographs, and year built for each documented property. <br />* Database. If available, database compiled in dBase III <br />Plus or dBase*IV (Version 1.1) of all addresses and <br />related information such as parcel numbers. <br />* Hard copy. ' Report generated from database, sorted by <br />address or neighborhood. <br />e. Other. Index other listings of architecturally or <br />historically significant properties in Santa Ana, such as <br />those in brochures, walking tours, guidebooks, etc. <br />Product: At the conclusion of this investigation, a listing of all <br />properties in Santa Ana which are known to have been previously <br />studied and/or included in the photographic survey will be <br />produced. The report will be organized by address for easy <br />reference, and will be submitted to Staff. At the discretion of <br />the City, the report could also be forwarded to the Ad -Hoc <br />Committee for their review and input. . <br />. _ e �., 2. Preliminary historic research. <br />1 <br />
