2. STATEMENT OF WORK <br />2.1 INTRODUCTION <br />This Statement of Work (SOW) is a comprehensive document of deliverables required <br />for implementation and integration of the City of Santa Ana Police Department's <br />(SAPD) Radio Network Controller (RNC) and Vehicular Radio Modems (VRM600) <br />into SAPD's existing mobile data system. This Statement of Work includes specific <br />responsibilities for Motorola and SAPD. Motorola defines these responsibilities based <br />upon information available at the writing of this proposal. If desired, Motorola and <br />SAPD may negotiate alterations to these responsibilities, including revisions to system <br />services via a change order. <br />2.2 SYSTEM OVERVIEW <br />Motorola is assisting with the conversion of the SAPD Mobile Data System network <br />from. a NCP 500 controller based system to an RNC 3000 TCP/IP controller based <br />system. In addition, 100 of SAPD's KDT 480s will be replaced with Motorola <br />VRM600s and SAPD supplied laptop computers and messaging software. <br />2.2. 1 Equipment Summary <br />The following major equipment will be delivered and/or installed at SAPD: <br />Qty Description <br />1 RNC 3000 Radio Network Controller <br />3 V.3229 Modem (I RF shielded version) <br />100 VRM600 Vehicular Radio Modems <br />2.3 MOTOROLA ā¯‘ELIVERA13LES <br />2.3. 1 Kickoff Meeting <br />Upon completion of contract signing, Motorola and SAPD will meet to review the <br />Statement of Work and associated schedule.
