SE( -..ON 4 `:i SYSTEM SUPPORT <br />4.2.4 Radio Support Center Depot Repair <br />4.2.4.1 Service Description <br />The RSC will fully system test and repair malfunctioning units down to the component <br />level utilizing state of the art automated test equipment. The RSC strives to turn <br />around units within one day of receipt. <br />4.2.4.2 How to Obtain Service <br />❖ Your first echelon service provider can call the RSC at 800-227-6772, <br />however a return authorization is not necessary. Be sure to include your return <br />address in the packaging of the unit along with a short description of the <br />problem. Units covered under warranty or a maintenance agreement are <br />tracked by serial number using bar-code technology. <br />:• The local service provider will ship the defective item (freight prepaid) to: <br />Motorola Radio Support Center <br />3761 South Central Avenue <br />Rockford, IL 61102 <br />Each unit wiII be repaired, completely tested, and returned normally within the same <br />working day of receipt of the unit at RSC.
