4 ACCENT ON <br />LANGUAGES <br />• Maintaining excellent work ethic and professionalism while adhering to ethical standards <br />throughout the interpretation process. This includes maintaining confidentiality, <br />impartiality, and neutrality, as well as refraining from providing personal opinions or <br />commentary during interpretation <br />Every subcontractor will sign the following agreements with Accent: <br />• Non -Disclosure Agreement <br />• Independent Contractor Agreement <br />• Code of Ethics <br />Accent will ensure that all subcontractors comply with all the requirements stated in the scope <br />of work; the City will not need to ever contact or manage any subcontracted company or <br />individual. It is understood and agreed that the participating subcontractors shall be solely and <br />directly under the responsibility of Accent, and the City shall have no obligation to them. <br />Additionally, our Project Managers boast backgrounds and professional degrees in translation <br />and interpretation, positioning them as not only effective administrators but also capable <br />linguists. Their deep understanding of language nuances and cultural contexts enables them to <br />provide valuable insights and guidance to subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle. This <br />dual role empowers our Project Managers to act as both facilitators and contributors, ensuring <br />that the highest standards of quality and accuracy are upheld at every stage. Our project <br />managers are capable of conducting translations in Spanish, Chinese Mandarin, and Japanese. <br />e. Proposed Work Plan <br />How to order services and response times <br />Accent can respond to a request immediately over the phone during office hours between <br />Monday and Friday (6AM — 6PM PST). Emails are responded to almost immediately upon <br />receipt. Quotes are typically provided within 30 minutes for interpreting services and document <br />translation projects. Additional or premium services might require a few additional hours. <br />Interpreters are typically confirmed the same day an order is placed; written translations are <br />delivered within the time frame agreed upon between Accent and the requester on an <br />order -by -order basis. <br />Accent will always wait until the City provides a verbal or written confirmation, purchase order <br />and/or signed agreement as approval of the quote before starting any work.
