ta <br />www.FinanceDTA.com <br />E Public Spaces <br />SECTION V <br />RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS PROPOSED IN <br />THE SPECIFIC PLAN <br />Publicly accessible parks and open space will be strategically located within the Specific Plan area. The <br />Bristol Central Park, approximately 2.5 acres in size, will be constructed in the northern portion of the <br />property. The Bristol Green (0.94 acres) and Bristol Plaza, including a small retail village (0.9 acres), will <br />be located in the southern portion of the property, adjacent to the proposed hotel and congregate care <br />buildings. There will be two parallel Greenlink trails (0.6 acres each) that will connect the parks in the <br />south to the park in the north. In total, there will be 13.1 acres of publicly accessible open space within <br />the Specific Plan area. <br />Figure 5: Bristol Plaza <br />r 2P11- _ ILA <br />R <br />The parks and Greenlink trails will include landscaping, lighting, seating areas, walkways, play areas, a <br />private recreation facility, and retail or kiosk uses. An overall drought -adapted plant palette is anticipated <br />to conserve water, reduce the heat island effect, use efficient irrigation, and potentially utilize biofiltration <br />mechanisms to treat rainwater. The parks and Greenlink trails will include benches, bicycle racks, and <br />directional signs to enhance the enjoyment of these public spaces. <br />Figure 6: Bristol Green <br />It is also planned that public art will be available in all open space areas.
