— PAAL Program/ There is currently an empty recreational building in the middle of Sand pointe Park
that could be renovated, expanded and used to accommodate a PAAL program.
Landscape/Beautification around the Alton Bike Trail (Flower to Fairview)
People currently use this as a walking/jogging path.
—Allow some of the proposed rental apartments to be purchased as condos/
A few of the proposed buildings could be sold as condos.
— Pedestrian walkway / at the corner of Bristol St. & MacArthur Blvd.
Much safer for people to cross that busy intersection, & may also help maintain traffic flow.
*We want the funds (at least8&9O%)that the city is going to receive from Related Bristol,
to stay in the South Coast Metro area (Ward 4), for upgrades & improvements.
Let's make sure Related Bristol also uses "Union Labor" for at least a portion of their project.
And Lastly.......
The stakeholders all want (no actually, they are demanding) a designated construction route, for all the
trucks to take!
We DO NOT WANT construction vehicles to be able to drive down MacArthur Blvd. to Bristol St. This
greatly disrupts the homes that reside alongside MacArthur Blvd. by causing extreme vibrations to their
homes that result in cracks to their walls and foundations.
We just had Public Works put down rubberized asphalt (RAC) on MacArthur Blvd. to help with the
vibrations from general traffic. But it would not be able to withstand repeated huge construction
vehicles constantly driving by. Resulting in damage to stakeholders homes.
Construction vehicles can use the 405 freeway and exit Bristol St.
Or if coming down the 55 freeway, they can exit Dyer Rd. (which is all industrial) and go down to Bristol
St. that way.
Thank -you for taking the time to read our list of concerns & requests.
Best Regards,
The South Coast Metro Neighborhood Alliance
(Sandpointe, South Coast, Republic, Thornton Park, & Metro Classic Associations)
L3.5
Cont.
L3.6
