Contractor shall treat dust mops by following manufacturer instructions. <br /> Dust mops must never be used immediately after being treated. Contractor <br /> shall rotate dust mops daily. Contractor shall always brush out or vacuum <br /> the dust mops after each daily use, retreat the mop, and hang overnight <br /> for the next use. <br /> • Spot Mopping and Damp Mopping- Contractor shall also provide daily <br /> preventative maintenance of gymnasium wood sports flooring by removing spills <br /> and soil that daily dust mopping does not remove. It is important to remove spills <br /> as soon as possible to prevent slips and falls. For removal of blood, fecal matter, <br /> urine, and other potentially infectious materials as outlined in OSHA Regulation <br /> 29 CFR 1910.1030, Contractor shall use the Hillyard Bodily Fluid Disposal Kit <br /> (Item No. HIL0018204) <br /> V. Gymnasium Floor— Bi-Weekly <br /> • Mop the entire gym floor once every two weeks using a ratio of 1-gallon warm <br /> water to 1-cup white vinegar to 1-cup rubbing alcohol. Change water frequently <br /> to avoid mopping with dirty water, thereby, spreading dirt and grime throughout <br /> gym floor. <br /> VI. Procedures <br /> • Set out "Wet Floor" signs. <br /> • Mix Super Shine-All at 2oz. per gallon of water in a mop bucket, or 1 oz. per gallon <br /> in an auto-scrubber. <br /> • For spills, soak mop in the solution, wring out, and mop the floor area while <br /> absorbing the spill. <br /> • Re-soak the mop in the cleaning solution, wring out, and mop the area a second <br /> time. <br /> • When damp mopping the entire floor, change the cleaning solution when it becomes <br /> cloudy with dirt. NOTE: Do not mop heavy amounts of cleaning solution onto the <br /> floor. <br /> • If auto-scrubbing, use a new white pad. <br /> • Allow the floor to dry thoroughly before removing "Wet Floor" sings. <br /> VII. Spot Removal <br /> • Remove heel marks, gum stains, etc. daily being careful to not damage the floor. <br /> Areas affected by removal of marks, gum, stains, etc. shall be refinished following <br /> Hillyard's refinishing specifications. <br /> City of Santa Ana RFP 24-076 Page 45 of 73 <br />
