The archaeologist shall inform all construction personnel prior to <br />construction activities about the proper procedures in the event of an archaeological discovery. <br />The pre -construction training shall be held in conjunction with the pro)ect's initial on -site <br />safety meeting and shall explain ffieuinportance and legal basis for the protection of significant <br />archaeological resources. In the event that archaeological resources (artifacts or features) are <br />exposed during ground -disturbing activities, construction activities in the immediate vicinity <br />of the discovery shall be halted while the on -call archaeologist is contacted. The resource shall <br />be evaluated for significance and tribal consultation shall be conducted, in the case of a tribal <br />resource. If the discovery proves to be significant, the long-term disposition of any collected <br />11.11s should be determined in consultation with the affiliated ibe(s), v1 ere relevant. <br />materials tr N -1 r <br />Analysis of the Modified Project <br />The Modified Project expressly prohibits STRs and only affects existing structures. The Modified Project would <br />not require development, redevelopment, or changes to existing development types in the city; construction <br />activities would not occur under the Modified Project. Additionally, the existing conditions related to cultural <br />resources have not changed since the certification of the GP EIR. The Modified Project is not anticipated to <br />result in any physical impacts on the environment. Thus, the Modified Project would not impact historical <br />resources or archeological resources or disturb human remains. No impacts would occur.
