SOLICITATION # CH16012 <br />service outage or <br />data loss in the <br />event of a <br />disaster. <br />Participating High Risk <br />entity chooses <br />inappropriate <br />data center <br />location leading to <br />service <br />degradation or <br />outage. <br />Participating <br />entity fails to <br />budget for and <br />acquire <br />appropriate DR <br />technology <br />leading to <br />inability to <br />recover from <br />disasters. <br />Participating <br />entity fails to <br />ensure cloud <br />service SLAs (e.g. <br />RPQ & RTD <br />objectives) meet <br />their mission <br />requirements <br />leading to <br />inadequate <br />service recovery <br />times and data <br />loss. <br />VMWare AirWatch <br />outage or data loss. In <br />parallel, entities are <br />encouraged to leverage <br />vCloud Air data protection, <br />vCloud Air Disaster <br />Recovery, and other high <br />availability services while a <br />formal plan is written <br />Participating entities are <br />encouraged to choose <br />datacenter(s) that is <br />geographically proximate to <br />their end users to maximize <br />performance. In addition, <br />location of disaster recovery <br />data center should be <br />geographically separated <br />from primary data center. <br />High Risk Participating entities are <br />encouraged to include DR <br />capabilities in their costs <br />estimates for cloud <br />deployments to ensure <br />budget is available to <br />acquire those services. <br />High Risk <br />Participating entities are <br />encouraged to review SLAs <br />for each cloud service that <br />they are interested in <br />acquiring to ensure that <br />they meet mission <br />requirements.
