CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: 25-6030 <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT SEGERSTROM AVENUE AND ROSEWOOD <br />4.10 AVENUE <br />4.10 TYPE 334 HUB/COMMUNICATION CABINET ASSEMBLY <br />If called for in the plans, the Type 334 Hub/Communication cabinet shall meet the <br />following: <br />1. Assembly shall meet the requirements of the Caltrans Transportation Electrical <br />Equipment Specifications (TEES) dated March 12, 2009. The Cabinet Assembly <br />shall consist of but not limited to the following: <br />a. Housing #1 — Clear Anodized <br />b. Mounting Cage #1 <br />c. Fan and thermostat assembly <br />d. Service Panel #1 <br />e. Service Panel Assembly <br />f. All other associated wiring, hardware and foundation bolts. <br />2. In addition to the Caltrans TEES requirements, the following shall be provided: <br />a. Cabinet Lights <br />Each cabinet shall be equipped with two (2) fluorescent lighting mounted inside <br />the top front and rear portion of the cabinet. A door actuated switch shall be <br />installed to turn the cabinet lights on when either the front or rear door is <br />opened. The door switches shall be on a separate circuit by itself; and used only <br />to turn on the cabinet light. <br />b. Pullout Drawer/Cabinet Print Holder Assembly <br />A pullout drawer shall be installed in the cabinet cage. The drawer shall be 17" <br />long by 12" long wide by 1 1/4 in. deep. It shall have a hinged top that covers <br />the storage box area and also provides a smooth surface to write on. <br />c. Other Electronic Components: <br />A Switched Rack Power Distribution Unit mounted on the Cabinet cage. This <br />network manageable device shall allow programmable control of eight power <br />outlets. Model shall be an APC Model AP7900. <br />4.11 TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROLLER <br />If called for on the plans, the controller shall meet the following: <br />Traffic signal controllers shall be an Econolite Cobalt RackMount controller complying <br />with the latest Caltran's TEES requirements for operation within a 332 cabinet.
