CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: 25-6030 <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT SEGERSTROM AVENUE AND ROSEWOOD <br />AVENUE <br />Written warranty must be provided by manufacturer for full replacement of the module due <br />to any failure for a minimum period of fifteen (15) years. <br />The LED signal module manufacturer shall provide a detailed written warranty issued by the <br />factory of module origin with the following minimum provisions: <br />Modules shall, at the manufacturer's option, be repaired or replaced if the module fails <br />to function as intended due to workmanship or material defects within the first 15 years <br />from the date of delivery. <br />Modules shall, at the manufacturer's option, be repaired or replaced if the module <br />exhibit luminous intensities less than the minimum specified values within the first 15 <br />years of the date of delivery. <br />4.23 VEHICLE DETECTORS <br />Detectors and detector lead-in cable shall conform to the provisions in Section 86- <br />1.0217(2)(c)(iii), "Inductive Loop Conductors" Section 86-1.02W, "Loop Detector Sealants," <br />Section 87-1.03V, "Detectors," Section 87-1.03W, "Sealants," of Caltrans Standard <br />Specifications and these Special Provisions. <br />Loop wire shall be per City Std. Plan 1506. <br />All loop connection shall be in series only. <br />All new or modified loop curb terminations shall be Type A as shown in CSP ES-51). Curb <br />termination conduit shall be 2" (53mm). <br />If any inductive loop detector wires or loop detector lead-in cables are to be left un- <br />terminated in a pull box for more than a 24-hour period, the ends shall be securely taped <br />and sealed with an electrical insulating coating. <br />4.24 PEDESTRIAN PUSH BUTTON ASSEMBLIES <br />Pedestrian push button assemblies shall conform to Section 86-1.02U and 87-1.03U, "Push <br />Button Assemblies," of the Caltrans Standard Specifications and these special provisions. <br />Unless shown otherwise on the plans, Pedestrian Push Button shall be Type B <br />Pedestrian push button assembly shall be ADA compliant furnished with stainless steel <br />tamper -proof screws. Pedestrian push button assembly shall consist of 5"x7" housing (Color: <br />Green), 2" ADA Moving Push Button (Color: Green, Button: Silver Stainless Steel) and <br />Caltrans standard 5" by 7.5" R62D sign. The Pedestrian Push Button Assembly shall be <br />installed at ADA standard height of 42", measured from top of sidewalk to center of push <br />button. <br />
