CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: 25-6030 <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT SEGERSTROM AVENUE AND ROSEWOOD <br />AVENUE <br />When an Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) system is required by the plans, the system shall <br />conform to Section 86-1.02T, "Accessible Pedestrian Signals," of the Caltrans Standard <br />Specifications and these special provisions. The Contractor shall furnish and install Polara <br />iNS2 iNavigator 2-wire system as shown on the plan. The APS system shall include Polara <br />iNS2 INavigator 2-wire Push Button Station (iN2 5AN0-B), iCCU-S2 Control Unit (Shelf <br />Mount Control Unit) and all necessary equipment, mounts, cabling, connectors, and any <br />other items necessary to provide the intended operation as shown on the plans. <br />All exposed fasteners shall have anti -seize compound (NOA-Lox or Agency approved equal) <br />applied before installation. <br />4.25 VIDEO DETECTION SYSTEM <br />When video detection is required, the Contractor shall furnish and install rack mounted <br />Video Detection System as shown on the plan. The video detection system shall include <br />cameras with zoom lens with an integrated adjustable sunshield, all mounting hardware <br />(video detector camera mounting bracket or video detector camera pole mount extension <br />bracket), communications interface panel, detector port master, video detector cable, all <br />associated equipment or miscellaneous fittings (cabinet wiring), labor, materials, and any <br />other items necessary to provide the intended operation as shown on the plans. All of the <br />video detection system components shall be current production equipment produced by the <br />same manufacturer (for system operation compatibility purposes) unless otherwise noted <br />herein or approved in advance by the Engineer. <br />The Video Detection System shall be an Econolite Autoscope Vision Video Detection <br />System or approved equivalent. <br />4.26 EMERGENCY VEHICLE PREEMPTION (EVP) SYSTEM <br />When EVP is required, the Contractor shall furnish and install a rack mounted Global <br />Traffic Technologies (GTT) OpticomTm GPS System as shown on the plans. Phase <br />selectors shall be 764, as shown on the plans. Radio/GPS Unit shall be Model 3100 as <br />shown on the plans. <br />Radio/GPS unit shall be mounted on the traffic signal pole and shall be mounted level and <br />extended 3 feet away from pole unless noted otherwise. <br />The EVP cables shall be GTT OpticomTM Model 1070. EVP cables shall be labeled in a <br />permanent, color -coded manner in each pull box and the traffic signal controller cabinet <br />indicating the vehicle signal phase and direction. EVP cables shall not be spliced <br />4.27 LIGHT EMITTING DIODE (LED) LUMINAIRES <br />All new luminaires shall be light emitting diode (LED), I.E.S. Type III distribution, full cut- <br />off, as shown on the plans. All new luminaires shall be Leotek GreenCobraTM GCM2-40H- <br />MV-NW-3R-GY-700-PCR7-WL LED Street Light. Each luminaire shall be equipped with <br />photoelectric control. <br />'FLO <br />
