CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: 25-6030 <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT SEGERSTROM AVENUE AND ROSEWOOD <br />AVENUE <br />downstream) of the location. The operator immediately shall notify the Contractor. Then, <br />the Contractor shall notify the Engineer. <br />CCTV inspections shall be delivered in an electronic format (DVD/USB drive) to the <br />Engineer for review and approval. <br />A. All Pipe Assessment & Certification Program (PACP) header information shall be <br />completed in accordance with the PACP Guidelines. <br />B. The documentation for the work shall consist of CCTV reports, database, logs, <br />electronic reports, etc. noting important features during the inspection. The above <br />documentation must be submitted to the City. The speed of travel during the inspection <br />shall not exceed at any time more than 30 feet per minute, except noted otherwise. <br />C. The camera must be centered to provide accurate distance measurements and locations <br />of features in the sewer main. All observations shall be displayed and documented on <br />video and identified by audio on PACP log. All video must be continuously metered <br />from the manhole. <br />D. All lengths of installed sewer main and sewer laterals shall be documented by footage <br />or stationing in the video. Sewer laterals shall be videoed up to the property line. The <br />pipe shall be clean to ensure all defects and observations are logged and documented. <br />E. During inspection, the operating technician shall, in addition to his/her video (with <br />audio) record of conditions, log in writing the location of all laterals, defects, <br />misalignments, and other conditions and data pertinent to the physical condition and <br />operation of the sewer main and sewer laterals. <br />Cleaning of the sewer main and laterals shall include removal of debris or foreign objects <br />introduced during construction. Such debris shall be vacuumed from the system and shall <br />not be washed or otherwise deposited downstream. Cleaning apparatus shall be removed <br />prior to insertion of the video camera. Under no circumstances shall cleaning apparatus be <br />used in direct coniunction with video operations. <br />Under no circumstances will plugging and/or bypassing be permitted without prior <br />approval and presence of the Engineer. If plugging and/or bypassing are deemed <br />necessary, the Contractor shall be responsible for plugging manhole outlets and/or <br />providing a bypass line for the effluent during videotaping. The sewer mains will be "in <br />service" at the time of the video inspection. <br />If the video is of poor quality and not suitable for review, the Contractor shall re -video the <br />line and resubmit to the City. <br />The video technician shall hold a current National Association of Sewer Service <br />Companies (NASSCO) certification. Provide operator certification to the engineer for <br />review and approval. <br />106 <br />
