This requirement in no way relieves the Contractor <br />from responsibility for complying with local ordinances regulating noise level. <br />The said noise level requirements shall apply to all equipment on the job or related to the job, <br />including but not limited to trucks, transit mixers, or transient equipment that may or may not be <br />owned the Contractor. The use of loud signals shall be avoided in favor of light warnings, except <br />those required by safety laws for the protection of personnel. <br />3-12.4.2 Storage in Public Streets <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />Storage of equipment and materials on City residential streets or in the public right of way during <br />non -working hours shall not be permitted, and may only be placed in the public right of way for <br />purposes of use that day. <br />Overnight stockpiling of construction debris or excavated materials is not allowed. Contractor <br />must obtain written approval from the Engineer prior to storage of construction materials and <br />equipment on the street where improvements are planned, but at minimum, adequate flashing <br />barricades shall be provided. <br />No area is available within the contract limits for the exclusive use of the Contractor. Use of the <br />Contractor's work areas shall be at the Contractor's own risk, and the City of Santa Ana shall not <br />be held liable for damage to or loss of materials or equipment located within such areas. <br />The Contractor shall remove equipment, materials, and rubbish from the work areas and other City <br />of Santa Ana — owned property that the Contractor occupies at the conclusion of each working <br />day. <br />City -owned property cannot be used as a construction yard, except within project limits, where it <br />may be available for licensing as determined by the engineer's requirements. <br />3-12.6.2 Erosion and Sediment Control Plan <br />Add the following to this subsection: <br />After award of the contract and prior to Contractor commencing work, the Contractor shall submit <br />an Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, hereinafter referred to as ESCP, for review by the Engineer. <br />The ESCP shall include applicable erosion control, sediment control, waste management, tracking <br />control, and non-stormwater management BMPs for all activities occurring on the construction <br />site and at any temporary storage yards that hold equipment and/or construction materials. The <br />ESCP shall be prepared by a certified professional trained in stormwater management or erosion <br />and sediment control, and shall include Construction BMP fact sheets from the California Storm <br />Water Quality Association (CASQA), which can be accessed at the link below: <br />https:Hocerws.ocpublicworks.com/service-areas/oc-environmental-resources/oc-watersheds/unincorporated-countywide-compliance/best <br />The Contractor shall make any necessary revisions to the ESCP as directed by the Engineer and <br />the Contractor shall not commence work until the ESCP has been approved by the Engineer.
