<br />The Manager reported that the bi,Is submitted for the r~-pa.vin~ of

<br />be done by City Forces as provided by Section ~21 of the Charter, at
<br />price of $16,735.00, and recommended that the bifs be declared excess-
<br />ive and authority given to have the work ~one by force account. On
<br />motion, of Co~mcilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, all bi~s
<br />w?e rejected and checks ordered returned, because the bids were ezces
<br />ire. Councilman McBr~de stated that Sidney Lowry, Civil Engineer, be
<br />instructed to go over the specifications and determine if it is
<br />necessary to t~ar up this street. It was moved by Councilman McBride
<br />seconded by Lars~n and carried, that Sidney Lowry be employed as
<br />
