Grant Company requesting information as to the progress of Parking District No. !, ;~as referred to the Manager for answer. At the request of the Purchasing Agent and on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Clerk was authorized to ade~ertlse for bids for furnisking electric lamps for the period July 1, 1954 to and including Juue~ 30, 1955; bids to be opened June ?th, 1954. On motion of Councilman Dn~l, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Clerk ~as authorized to publish a Notice Inviting Bids for legal notices for ~he fiscal'ye~'~ 1754-5~; bids to be opened June 7th, 1954. . On motion of Councilman Da~hl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Minut,~ of the meetingsof the Executive Committee of the Joint Outfal', Sewer, held at Anaheim, April 15th and April 26th, 1954, were receive~ and filed. Communication was read from the Santa Ana Second Guessers Club requesting that a new automatic electric football scoreboard, with th, time shown in numerals, be installed at the Municipal Bowl and sugges' ing that' the City accept the~offer of Lawrence Pa~terson, of the Pepsi-Cola. Bottling Company to give and install the approved football scoreboard at no expense to the City. On moticn of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the matter ~as referred to the Attorney to pr~pa~necessary agreement. On motion Of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the applications of B~nJam~n C. Barnes and Burr T. Mendricks, to ~rive taxics2os, were received, filed and permits granted. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the notifications of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverag~ applications of George D. 0sterman and E~mon ~. Vaughan, 2002 South Flower Street and Market Basket, 910 ~.'Jest Seventeenth Street, were received and filed. Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending that the proposed annexation of a 94~95 acre parcel southeast of the corner of the intersection of Street, ~esignated "Antone Borchard Anne~", be of ground located Delhi Road and Flower approved, and repor~ re from the Boundary Commission advising that the boundaries of the pro- posed annexation are re~sons~!y definite and certain. On motion of Councilman D~al, seconded by Jerome and carried, the communication anf report were received and filed.
