Wild <br />(30' easement for <br />sewe~ and storm drain <br />purposes on north side <br />of Central Ave.) <br /> <br />lng the costs as follows: <br /> <br /> Grace Johnson $500.00 <br /> Grace Johnson and Hazel Kitchin $1,025.00. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, <br />on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the fol- <br />lowing Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 55-75 accepting Easement Deed" <br /> <br />from Grace Johnson, an unmarried woman, and Haze/ Kitchin, was con- <br />sidered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br /> Milford W. Dahl, Courtney R. <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />Thomas F.Larsen, <br />Chandl er <br /> <br /> Communications were read from the Planning Commission recommending <br /> granting of variance to James A. Freeman et al to permit the~use of <br /> property lying 150' north of W. 17th Street, being a parcel 113.37' x <br /> 692', running from Bristol to Baker Streets, for parking, subject to <br /> certain conditions and from the Department of Public Works that con- <br /> struction is needed of curb, sidewalk and paving but to existing pave- <br /> ment across entire frontage on 17th Street and Bristol Street, and that <br /> an alley be constructed between Baker and Bristol Street on the north <br /> <br /> line of the property. Numerous persons protested the granting of <br /> would <br /> the variance and the establishment of a through alley concluding it_/ <br /> <br /> become a race-track for cars; would be detrimental to the neighborhood <br /> and hazardous for the children in the vicinity. Joseph Ney, 1202 W. <br /> 18th Street protested the construction of a 6~ wall and stated that <br /> the wall would be 2' from his driveway creating a traffic hazard. On <br /> motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br /> variance was.granted subject to :he conditions of the Department of <br /> Public Works and the following specific conditions: <br /> <br />1. That a 6' masonry wall be constructed on the north side of the <br /> property from setback line to setback line from Bristol to Baker <br /> Streets, and a 4' masonry wall be constructed from the northerly <br /> boundary 72' southerly between the setback line and the property <br /> line on the northerly boundary. <br /> <br />2. That the entire parking area be blacktopped. <br /> <br />3. That any lighting in the ar~a be situated so that it does not <br /> shine directly upon the properties to the north, facing 18th Street, <br /> nor to the east, facing Baker Street. <br /> <br />4. That a private alley easement be required on the southerly 30' of <br /> the proposed property. <br /> <br /> The Council having unanimously waived the re~ding of the Resolution, <br /> on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the fol- <br /> lowing Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 55-76 accepting Easement Deed" <br /> <br />from Minnie M. Wild for a 30~ easement for sanitary sewer and storm <br />drain purposes on the north side of Central Avenue between the south- <br />west corner of Tract No. 2458 and Bristol Street, as Central Avenue is <br />shown on a map entitled "Santa Ana Park" for future development, was <br /> <br /> <br />
