Stahmann <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />~ker Development <br />Co. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Santa Aha Kiwanis <br />Club Foundation <br /> <br />corner cf Bristol Street and Memory Lane, to advartise the sale of <br />houses and lots in Tract No. 2325, subject to certain conditions. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl,-seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Melrose Sign Service to permit erection of two 10' x 20' <br />temporary directional signs on property at the southwest corne, r of <br />Bristol and Edinger Streets, to advertise the sale of lots and houses <br />in Tract No. 2325, subject to'certain conditions. <br /> <br />On motion of Cou~.cilman Dahl,-seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />reconLmendation of the Planning Commission ~,~':s s. pproved and vs~riance <br />granted to Melrose Sign Service to permit erection of a 10' x 20~ <br />temporary directional sign on.property at the southeast corner of <br />Bristol Street arid Memory Lan~, to advertise the sale of houses and <br />lots in Tract No. 2325, subject to conditions as imposed by the Plan- <br />ning Commission, and the further condition that in the event the stree' <br />is widened, the sign will bo removed at the applicant's expense. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Da.hl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />additional condition shall be imposed on the other two variances of <br />Melrose Sign Service, that in the event the street is widened the signs <br />will be removed at the applicant's expense. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl,'seconded by Lar~en and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Plannln~ Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Daniel E. Cohn et al to permit the establishment of a <br />temporary real estate office' and erection of twelve 3' ~ 5' temporary <br />advertising fe~tur~, signs, ~n~ one "V" type sign, l0~ x 30~ each face, <br />on property at the northwest corner of Bristol Street and Fairvlew <br />Avenue, subject to certain conditions. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman D~hl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Ray P. and Kathryn F. Stahmann to permit the construction <br />of a duplex with garage space for two cars, on front portion of lot at <br />1402 Durant Street, and to. move the .existing four-room dwelling and <br />twO-car garage tO the rear of the lot. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman DabS, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Pla. nning Commission was approved and Variance <br />granted to Baker Develo~.ment to permit erection of an 8~ x l0~ tempo- <br />rary directional sign on property at the southeast corner of Linwood <br />Avenue and E. 17th Street, to advertise the sale of lots in Tract No. <br />2322, subject to 'a condition. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerdme, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Santa ~na Kiwanis Club Foundation to permit construction of <br />a building to be used for a Boy Scout Troop Me-ting House, ~ith off- <br />street parking for at least t'~enty cars, on property at the west end <br />of Santa Clar~ AVenue, the property being more particularly 8escribed- <br />in the application. <br /> <br /> <br />
