<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance
<br />granted to S. F. and Dorothea McCowan to permit the construction of a
<br />building, approximately 49.10' x 2~' 4", on the rear of lot at 1115 $.
<br />Bristol Str~,t, to be used as a storage room in connection with the
<br />market on adjacent property, subject to certain conditions.

<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance
<br />granted to M. J. Brock & Sons, Inc., to permit erection of eight signs
<br />on the west side of Bristol Street between St. C~rtrude Place and
<br />approximately 90' north of St. Andrew Place, which are to be used to
<br />advertise the sale of lots in Tract Nos. 2207, 2208 and 2209, subject
<br />to certain conditions, and denial of a portion of the variance appli-
<br />cation.

<br />Communication of the Planning Commission was read submitting Resolution
<br />No. 779 recommending the reclassification of property at ~he northwest
<br />corner of the intersection of Edinger and Bristol Streets, in accord-
<br />ance with amendment application of F. Joe Hershi~er, from the R-1
<br />District to the C-1 District. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded
<br />by D.mhl and carried, a notice of public hearing was ordered published
<br />
<br />setting date of hearing as May 2nd, 1955.

<br />It wac moved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, that
<br />escrow, instructions be approved and signed for property of Marie
<br />Rolling and Ev~. Johnson, in the sum of $1,760.00, for property on
<br />~outh Main Street.
