Etzenhouser <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Ernest Capp et ux <br /> <br />Variance <br />Oeorge Huffmo~n <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Marks1 and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> granted to Meyer-Nash & Associates to permit erection of one double- <br /> face 10' x 20~ sign, elevated at least 3' off the ground, on Lot 21, <br /> fifteen 30" x $' feature signs on Lots 1~, 2, 4, 7, 10, 16, 17, 20, 22, <br /> 24, 25, 31, 32, 34 an'd 38 in Tract No. 1790, located at Sixth Street <br /> and Eastside Avenue; also to use the garage on Lot No. 2 for a sales <br /> office, subject to certain conditions. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending denial <br /> of variance application of Byron H. Kaufman to permit the establishment <br /> and operation of a beauty shop in existing residence on property at <br /> 125~ West Camile Street, with the entrance off South Bristol Street and <br /> to the rear of the building, with off-street parking for approximately <br /> six or eight care. The variance application was held over until the <br /> next meeting. <br /> <br />Communications were read from the Planning .Commission recommending <br />granting of variance to Edward H. and Grace Y. Brady $o build <br />a second house on the combined three 25 foot lots at 1526 South Rose <br />Street, the existing dwelling and the proposed structure each encroach- <br />ing 25 feet on the center lot, and from the Department of Public Works <br />that replacement of all broken sidewalk and construction of ~riveway <br />approach where none now exists, is needed. On motion of Councilman <br />Heinly, seconded by MarkeI and carried, the recommendation of the Plan~- <br />ing Commission was approved and variance granted subject to the con- <br /> <br /> ditions as imposed by the Department of Public Works. <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Heinly and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Jewett C. Norris to build an addition to existing market <br />building on property at 601 East St. Andrew Place, to be used for an <br />office and a walk-in meat and storage box. <br /> <br />Communications were read from the Planning Commission recommending <br />granting of variance to John B. Etzenhous~to permit the manufacture of <br />PaJa tools, (small steel and tenite ~ools, 6" x 3/8"), in garage on <br />property at 142~ Maple Street, and from the Department of Public Works <br />that replacement of broken concrete driveway, removal of &ll flagstone <br />in parkway and replacement with earth or concrete, ie needed. On <br />motion of CounciIman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the reoem- <br />mendatio~ of the Planning Commission was approved and variance granted <br />subject to conditions as imposed by the Department of Public Works. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Ernest and Ruth B. Capp to build a nursing home on property <br />at 1612 East Palm Street, and in the near future, convert the existing <br />Guest Home for Aged into a Nursing Home, with parking space provided at <br />the rear. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> <br /> <br />
