Robertshaw to construc~ <br /> to be used for a "Tastee-Freeze" Drive-in, with t~.~o driveways, <br /> a buildin~/on an area measuring 80~ x 120~, on vacant lot beginning at <br /> <br />a point approximately 150~ north of the northeast corner of the inter- <br />section of Fourth Street and Grand Avenue, with standard "Tastee~ <br />Freeze" sign on top of the building and in the center of same, the sig~ <br />to be approximately 12' long x 3'6" high, with 3~ x ~' cone, and from <br />the Dep~3'tment of Public Works that construction of curb ~d sidev~alk <br />and paving out to existing pavement on Grand Avenue is needed. On <br /> <br />motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Helnly and carried, the recem- <br /> was approved <br />mendation of the Planning Commission/and variance granted subject to <br /> <br />the conditions as imposed by the Commission and the Department of <br />Public Works. <br /> <br />Com~munications ~ere read from the Planning Commission recommending <br />granting of variance to Norm Herzig et al to construct eight apartment~ <br />on property at the rear of 1636 East Sixth Street, and facing a new <br />street not yet named, and from the Department of Public ~'~orks that con~ <br />struction of sidewalk across front of property is needed. On motion <br />of Councilman Jerome, seconded b~ Hein]y and carried, the recommendation <br />of the Planning Commission was approved and variance granted subject tG <br />the conditions as imposed by the Department of Public Works. <br />Communications were read from the Planning Commission recommeqding <br />granting of variance to Angeline P. Daly to convert a single-family <br /> <br />dwelling into a duplex, at 302 South Artesia Street, and from the <br />Department of Public Works that replacing of all broken sidewalks on <br />Artesia and Pine Streets and paving out to center line of the street <br />on Pine Street, the entire length of the lot, is needed. On motion <br />of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Melnly and. carried, the matter was <br />continued until the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dah], seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Bralnard Construction Company to establish a temporary sales <br />office and erect eleven temporary signs, on property at the southwest <br />corner of Flower Street and Santa Aha Boulevard, subject to certain <br />conditions, and the a~ditional condition that all temporary signs be <br />removed by January 1st, 1956 and bond, in amnunt of $100.00 be posted. <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Bronley Builders Company to permit the erection of a 10~x20~ <br />temporary directional sign on p~'operty at the southeast corner of South <br /> <br /> <br />
