Er. Hilliard appeared before the <br /> Council requesting that the variance application be reconsidered and <br /> stated that 'the erection of a duplex would improve the property. The <br /> applicant presented a petition signed by twenty-four persons in favor <br /> of the duplex. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and <br /> carried, the petition was received and filed. On motion of 'Councilma~ <br /> Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, the recommendation of the <br /> Planning commission was approved and the variance denied. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance <br /> of Oscar Kitto et al g~anted to permit construction of six apartments <br /> <br /> and garages on property at 1017 North Van Ness Avenue, in an R-2 zone. <br /> ,, <br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance <br /> of Otto. A. and Sophia L. Waldman ~ranted to permit the construction of <br /> a one-bedroom duplgx, attached t~o e. xisting single-family unit by garage <br /> and also an additional garage for the third unit, on property at 1153 <br /> <br />West Eighth Street. <br /> ,, <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and the varianc <br />of John H. and Virena M.
