On motion of Councilman Dahl, <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, a notice was ordered published setting <br /> <br /> the date of public hearing ae December 5th, 1955. <br /> . <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending <br />approval of request of Meyer-Nash and Associates for a six-months' <br />extension of time, without forfeiture of bond, on variance granted <br />Nay 2nd, 1955, permitting erection of certain signs in Tract No. 1790, <br />located at Sixth Street and Eastside Avenue, subject to conditions. <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and request <br />grant ed. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending that <br />the portion of Washington Avenue between the Freeway and Grand Avenue, <br />north of the Freeway~ be chan~ed to "East Washington Place". The <br />Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on <br />motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the follow- <br />lng Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 55-279 changing the mame of a <br /> portion of Washington Avenue to East ~ashin~ton <br /> Place" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, J. O~den Mar~el, William Jerome, <br /> Milford W. Dahl, Courtney R. Chandler <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Plannin~ Commission recommending <br />approval of request of Felix Fanderlik and Company, Inc., that the <br />minimum rear yard requirement be set at lO~ for the r~ason that the <br />houses are placed at an angle, in.Tract No. 2323, located northeast <br />of the intersection of Raitt and Wlllits Streets.
