<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by GOuld and carried, the recon~aendatxon '
<br />
<br />of the Planning Commission was approved, and a ninety-day extension of time grante~
<br />on Variance Application No. 1238, filed by Donald B. Garrick, to permit constructiom
<br />of three duple~on property at the southwest corner of Evergreen and Flora Streets,i
<br />in R-1 District.
<br />
<br />Con~nunication was presented from the Planning Commission recommending approval of
<br />proposed change of street name from "Lore Lane" to "Borchard Avenue"as there existsI
<br />a "Lori" Lane in the area north of Trask Avenue and east of Berrydale Street, and
<br />a "Lore" Lane located north of Edinger Street and west of Bristol Street. The
<br />Cottucil having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councilman Hubbard~ seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br /> "Resolution No. 60-135 changing the name of that certain street
<br /> now known as 'Lora Lane' to 'Borchard Avenue'~'
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br />The applicant orally requested that action be deferred until August l, 1960, on
<br />Tentative Tract Map No. 384], filed by Hodges Building Corporation, creating ten
<br />lots located on the west side of Grand Avenue, north of McFadden Avenue, subject t¢
<br />conditions.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Cottucilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried~ the recommendation
<br /> of the Planning Department was approved~ and Preliminary Record of Survey Map No.
<br /> 174, filed by Mark Andrews, creating two lots located at the southeast corner of
<br /> McFadden Avenue and Pacific Avenue, was approved, subject to conditions.

<br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried~ Map of Tract No.
<br /> 3669, filed by San Gabriel Construction Company, for the dedication as public high-
<br /> ways, Rosita Street, Fifth Street, Newhope Street, Sixth Street, Jenkins Street,
<br /> Roosevelt Avenue, Silver Drive, and Darin Street, and easements for drainage purposes
<br /> as shown; also offer for dedication all vehicular access rights to Newhope Street
<br /> except street intersections, and bond in the sum of ,10%0GO.COwers approveS;
<br /> license fee in the sum of $~,450.00 accepted, and agreement covering improvements
<br /> ordered signed.

<br /> On motion of Council~u Hubbard~ seconded by Gould and carried, Map of Tract No.
<br /> 3864, filed by Kaven-Roe Company, for dedication to the public use for street pur-
<br /> poses Grace Street and Washington Place, and bond in the sum of $4,500'.00 were ap-
<br /> proved; license fee in the sum of $350.00 accepted, and agreement covering improve-
<br /> merits ordered signed.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Map of Tract No.371~,
<br />filed by Keystone Construction Company, for dedication to public use for highway put
<br />poses Sugar Avenue~ Harper Street, Jackson Street, James Avenue, Charlaine Avenue,
<br />Laurel Court, and Corwin Cottrt, and all vehicular access rights on Sugar Avenue~
<br />except at street intersections, was approved, subject to the payment and approval b~
<br />the Attorney of bond in the sum of $61,000.00, payment of license fee in the sum of
<br />$2,250.00~ further subject to certain conditions recommended by the Department of
<br />Public Works, and agreement covering improvements ordered signed.
