RESOLUTION NO. 2003-001 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING CERTAIN COMMITTEES OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />By Resolution No 98-091, the City Council created eight (8) Council <br />Committees for the purpose of focusing greater Council attention on key <br />priorities coming before the Council in the future. This resolution was <br />subsequently amended and partially repealed by City Council Resolution <br />Nos. 99-069, 200(~-J369, and 2001-033. <br /> <br />The City Council seeks to reorganize and create six (6) Committees of the <br />City Council, in order to improve efficiency and productivity of the <br />committee process. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. From and after the date hereof, there shall be the following <br />Committees of the City Council: <br /> <br />Neighborhood Improvement/Code Enforcement <br />Main Street Development <br />Public Safety <br />Education & Youth Programs <br />Park Development/Joint Use Facilities <br />Technology <br /> <br /> Each committee shall consist of two (2) councilmembers as appointed by the <br />Mayor, except that the Public Safety, Main Street Development, and Park <br />Development/Joint Use Facilities Committees shall each consist of three (3) <br />councilmembers as appointed by the Mayor. Each committee member shall serve on <br />the committee for a two year term commencing with the first meeting of each new city <br />council following a general election, but each councilmember shall continue to serve on <br />his or her committee until replaced. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3. This Resolution supercedes and replaces all other resolutions <br />relating to this subject matter. Resolutions Nos. 98-091, 200(I-Q69, and 2001-033 are <br />hereby repealed in their entirety and shall be null and void for all ~u~ ~Po~s. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2003-001 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
