188 <br /> <br />The implementing agency will have the assistance and support of the Santa Ana Library, the <br />Santa Police Department, Neighborhood Improvement, and several coalitions that have been <br />active in the target area surrounding Flower Street Park. <br /> <br />Additional funding for this project will come from the general fund of the Recreation and <br />Community Services Agency. Total contxibutions will include $50,600 in matching cash <br />funds from the City of Santa Ana. In addition to the matching funds, the agency's resources <br />will be directed to the total success of the project. These resources include supervision, grant <br />management and compliance, coordination with existing services, administrative costs, and <br />indirect costs. <br /> <br />The project will involve a high degree of coordination between several groups and agencies. <br />These include: <br /> <br />OPERATION ROUND-UP: A four-phase program conducted by a multi-agency law <br />enforcement task force designed to address the terrorism and acts of violence <br />perpetrated by gang members and to restore order to the Flower Street Park <br />neighborhood. <br /> <br />FLOWER STREET PARK NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION: A neighborhood <br />association with the purpose of organizing the residents of the Flower Street Park <br />neighborhood as part of the final phases of Operation Round-Up. <br /> <br />PROJECT SABADO: A community-based organization that uses an environmental <br />prevention approach to reduce and/or prevent alcohol and other drug problems in the <br />City of Santa Aha. <br /> <br />CARVER CONCERNED PARENTS: A group of parents from Carver Elementary <br />School who have organized themselves with the goal of reducing the problems <br />associated with high alcohol consumption and to make their community safe for their <br />children. <br /> <br />ARTESIA~PILAR NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION: A neighborhood association <br />involved in an effort to organize and educate residents in safety and prevention <br />measures designed to make their neighborhood stronger. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING/WESTEND DISTRICT: A Neighborhood <br />Watch program serving the target area with safety education activities and community <br />mobilization efforts. <br /> <br />AMERICORPS: A community-based organization that strengthens the <br />community through increased student academic achievement, adult education <br />assistance in literacy skills and accomplishment of permanent Citizenship <br />status. <br /> <br />The efforts of these agencies toward the project will be coordinated by a part-time Senior <br /> <br /> <br />
