New Miscellaneous Fees
PLANNING AND BUILDING AGENCY
13) Minor Exception —Fences
Proposed Fee(s): $357 Per Request
Department: Planning Division
A minor exception may be requested to allow for discretionary approval of a fence that
does not meet the City's minimal standards. The minor exception fee would be paid to the
Treasury Division cashier at the time of the request.
This fee would capture some of the staff costs to process a minor exception request for a
front yard fence.
14) Second Dwelling Unit Review
Proposed Fee(s)
Department:
$355 Per Permit
Planning Division
Recent State legislation has set development standards for second dwelling units which
require Planning staff to scrutinize proposed plans for conformance. This legislation is
effective July 1, 2003. The proposed fee will offset a portion of staff costs associated with
more intensive review and site visits to ensure conformance.
The proposed fee would be paid to the Treasury Division cashier at the time plans are
submitted for review to the Planning Division.
15) New Single Family Residence Review
Proposed Fee(s)
Department:
$355 Per Permit
Planning Division
The City currently enforces relatively complex development standards for new single-
family residences, resulting in a more time consuming review of proposed projects. This
permit fee will offset a portion of staff costs associated with ensuring compliance with City
standards.
The proposed fee would be paid to the Treasury Division cashier at the time the plans are
submitted for review to the Planning Division.
63
