New Miscellaneous Fees <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />16) Towing Services Fee <br />Proposed Fee(s): $50 Per Tow (based on completion of a CHP Form 180) <br />Department: Traffic <br />The Police Department is restructuring the current rotational tow program to charge an <br />administrative fee to tow truck operators. This fee will recoup some of the costs incurred by <br />the Police Department for time spent and various other costs associated with the storage and <br />impound of vehicles. This includes the officer's time waiting for the tow truck arrival, <br />completion of paperwork, computer entries, records functions, post -storage hearings and <br />activities required to release the vehicle. The proposed fee will be deposited into the City's <br />general revenue fund. <br />17) Residential Alarm Permit Fee <br />Proposed Fee(s): <br />Department: <br />$29.00 Per Permit <br />Office of the Chief <br />The proposed fee is to help recoup staff costs for processing residential alarm permits. The <br />same rate is charged for a commercial alarm permit. <br />64 <br />
