Couucilxaen Br~ooks and Markel voted "No'!. <br /> <br />STATE LEGISLATION On motion'of Council-~ Brooks, seconded <br /> By Councilman Griset and carried, the <br /> City Attorney was instructed to prepare <br />a resolution stating opposition to Assembly Bill ~J~9 which would prohibit <br />municipal license taxes on motor vehicle carriers. <br /> <br />On motion of Coumcilmaa ~rooks, seconded by Counc~]m~ Herrin and carried, <br />the City Attorney was instructed to prepare a resolution stating City's <br />opposition to Assembly Bill 2~ regarding firefighterS collective negotiation. <br /> <br />It was ~oved by Councilman ~rooks, seconded by Counc~l~ Herrin, to instruct <br />the City Attorney to prepare a resolution opposing ACA ~ which would add a <br />new section to Article XI of the Constitution regarding vacancies in elective <br />offices in general law or chartered cities. Councilman Brooks then made a <br />motion, seconded by Councilman Nerrin, to amend his motion to include Assembly <br />Bill Bi0 and Assembly Biil 7~1 regarding vacancies in elective offices in <br />general law cities, an/[ to also include Senate Bill 21 regarding disciplinary <br />action against liquor licensees.
