4. Where walls have wainscot finish, switch height adjusted as required, so switch <br /> is either all in wainscot or all in wall above wainscot. <br /> <br />Where light switches are located adjacent to doors, they are installed on "knob" <br />side of door. <br /> <br />Prior to roughing-in outlet boxes, verify from general Construction Drawings, <br />door swings, type of wall finished, and locations for counters and work benches. <br /> <br />Locate all switches, receptacles, etc., as indicated on the dra~vings. All such devices <br />located in areas other than Janitor's closets, supply rooms, storage rooms, etc., not <br />indicated on Architectural Drawings shall be located as directed by the Engineer. <br /> <br />C. Cover Plates: <br /> <br />1. Products specified herein are specification grade, as manufactured by Pass and <br /> Seymour Legrand or Hubbell. All plates shall be by the same manufacturer of <br /> wiring devices for uniformity. <br />2. Cover plates for switches, receptacles, and telephone outlets beveled A30 <br /> stainless steel in restrooms, laboraotries, food service areas, locker rooms and <br /> utility rooms, otherwise colored "white". <br /> <br />D. Exceptions as Noted: <br /> <br />Cover plates for outlets above ceilings and similar unfinished areas, galvanized <br />steel of the utility type. <br />Provide matching plates for unused outlets, etc. <br />Provide gang cover plates for grouped wiring devices. <br /> <br />3.05 <br /> <br /> A. <br /> <br />INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT FURNISHED BY OTHERS <br /> <br />Work shall be performed in accordance with requirements of standards referenced, <br />manufacturer's recommendations, and industrial standards. The most restrictive shall <br />apply. <br /> <br />Accuracy of Data: Data on Drawings and in this Specification are as exact as could be <br />secured, but their absolute accuracy is not guaranteed. Exact locations, distances, <br />levels, and other conditions shall be governed by building.
