3.09 <br /> <br /> A. <br /> <br />INSTALLATION OF MOTOR CONTROLLER <br /> <br />Connect hand-off-auto selector switches so that automatic control only is bypassed in <br />spring loaded "manual" position and any safety controls are not bypassed. <br /> <br />Install motor switches in flush enclosures in finished areas. <br /> <br />Examine control diagrams indicated and manufacturer's shop drawings before ordering <br />motor controllers. <br /> <br />Order controllers to satisfy diagram and drawing requirements. Should conflicting data <br />exist in specifications, drawings, and diagrams, request corrected data prior to placing <br />orders. <br /> <br />3.10 <br /> <br /> A. <br /> <br />INSTALLATION OF PANELBOARD <br /> <br />Provide one spare 3/4-inch conduit for each three single pole or equivalent multipole <br />spare (or space) circuit breaker positions in flush branch circuit panelboards_ <br />Terminate over accessible ceilings or at junction boxes in equipment room or other <br />utility space in the vicinity of the panelboards. <br /> <br />Align and level panelboards and securely fasten to the building. Do not use connecting <br />conduits to support the panelboards. Close unused openings in panelboard cabinets <br />and install trim plumb and square prior to finish painting. <br /> <br />3.11 <br /> <br /> A. <br /> <br />3.12 <br /> <br />GROUNDING <br /> <br />Provide ground rod, grounding electrode & building structural steel bonding for all <br />service entrance switchboard and transformer secondary per NEC Article 250. <br /> <br />All circuit 120 V and over shall have an individual code size ground conductor. <br />PAYMENT <br /> <br />Payment for work required in this section will be paid for with the various items of <br />work associated with this work and no additional compensation will be allowed <br />therefore. <br /> <br />END OF SECTION <br /> <br />Basic Materials and Methods 16050-22 <br /> <br /> <br />
