WHEREAS, the development of the Graduate Profile began in the fall of 2020 through <br />the District System Design Partnership, engaging nearly 200 community partners, <br />SAUSD staff, and parents in a series of workshops to create the framework for the <br />Graduate Profile; and <br />WHEREAS, SAUSD further refined the Graduate Profile through a series of student and <br />staff listening sessions, collecting more than 30 hours of audio and about 1,000 pages <br />of transcripts, ensuring that the Graduate Profile aligns with the needs and aspirations <br />of those most impacted by this initiative; and <br />WHEREAS, the SAUSD Graduate Profile represents a comprehensive and <br />community -driven vision for student success, empowering students to be lifelong <br />learners, ethical leaders, and proactive members of their communities, while ensuring <br />they are equipped to excel in their future endeavors; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />that the Council hereby recognizes and supports the SAUSD Graduate Profile as a vital <br />initiative that prepares the students of Santa Ana for success in an ever -evolving job <br />market and reaffirms its commitment to working collaboratively with SAUSD to support <br />the education and future of our city's youth. <br />City Council 18 — 6 3/18/2025 <br />
