Pacific Coast Cabling
installed and currently maintains a campus-wide cabling infrastructure for this newly. built
regional headquarters, a multi-buitding environment spread over 29 acres. Pacific Coast
Cabling was selected for this project based on the company's extensive research, outstanding
feedback from references, and proven history of success on projects of similar size and scope.

Verizon required a flexible cabling system capable of meeting their high-performance
muttimedia networking requirements. Pacific Coast Cabling, one of only a handful of Avaya
8usinessPartners and VARs in Southern California, implemented a Avaya SYSTIMAX Structured
Connectivity Solution. A SYSTIMAX solution was setected based on its ability to accommodate
the company's employee growth, customer demand and their future requirements for voice,
data and video technologies at the facility.

Pacific Coast Cabling installed 2010 Category 3 plenum.rated cabling to be used for voice
applications and 2061 Category 5e plenum-rated LAN cabling over 440,000 square feet in five
linked buildings. The data cabling is terminated at the workstation end on Avaya Category 5e
jacks. There are over 2,000 circuits throughout the buildings.

I

Since Pacific Coast Cabting is an Avaya BusinessPartner and certified installer, all installations
are certified under the Avaya 25-year warranty and applications assurance program. The
solution will accommodate Verizon's need to provide uninterrupted service to its employees
and customers by simplifying future maintenance, eliminating the need for future retrofitting,
and reducing system downtime by 50 to 80 percent.

I
I
I
I

About Verizon Wireless
Verizon Wireless is the nation's teading provider of wireless communications. The company has
the largest nationwide wireless voice and data network and 31.5 million customers.
Headquartered in Bedminster, N.J., Verizon Wireless is a jOint venture of Verizon
Communicatfons (NYSE:VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE and LSE: VOD).
