(Agenda <br /> Item 3 A.) <br /> <br />CA 89 <br /> <br />BID AWARD - SPEC 76-020 On the unanimously <br />PARAMEDIC VAN (6:0) carried motion <br />~PPROVBD of Councilman Evans, <br /> seconded by Council- <br />man Bricken, Council awarded the following without advertis- <br />ing for bids, based on a finding in accordance with Charter <br />Section 421 that the work is of urgent necessity for the <br />preservation of health and property: <br /> <br /> SPEC ?6-020 One paramedic van and full <br /> equipment paramedic van awarded to Leader <br /> Industries, Inc., Temple City, in the amount <br /> of $14,979.76. One Kor-Pac with extra bat- <br /> tery pack in the amount of $4,675.66, one <br /> fire radio in the amount of $1,398.14, one <br /> paramedic radio in the amount of $1,329.24, <br /> and one portable radio with charger and <br /> carrying case in the amount of $954.00 were <br /> all awarded to Motorola Corp., Newport Beach. <br /> One data scope unit with charger unit ,in the <br /> amount of $4,128.70 was awarded to Medical <br /> Life Systems, Mountain View. CA 89 <br /> <br />Acting Fire Chief Raymond Bachtelle answered questions regard- <br />ing the specifications required for paramedic use. (Agenda <br />Item 3 B <br /> -) <br /> <br />BID AWARD - SPEC 76-014 Councilman Evans' <br />FARMING CENTENNIAL PARK motion to award the <br /> following on the basis <br />of highest responsible bidder, as recommended by Staff, <br />was seconded by Councilman Bricken and carried (6:0), <br />unanimously: <br /> <br />SPEC 76-014 - Farming the-'und~veloped <br />portion of Centennial Park - awarded to <br />Mural Farms, Inc., Santa /Ina, for the <br />amount of $25,601.04. <br /> <br />CA 89 <br /> <br />DEED WITH CASH & On the unanimously <br />ESCROW - GRANTEE, CITY carried (S:0) motion <br /> of Councilman Ortiz, <br />seconded by Councilman Bricken, the following deed <br />was approved and the Vice Mayor was authorized to <br />sign all necessary documents in connection with the <br />purchase: <br /> <br />GARTHE, John Robert.and Shirley A. - West <br />side of Flower, south of Washington for street <br />purposes. <br /> <br />CA 155 <br /> <br />Mayor 6arthe abstained from voting and departed the Council Cham- <br />bers after declaring a conflict of interest because the grantor <br />is his son.
