<br />to work one (1) 12 hour and 30 minute <br />"payback" day each 28 day FLSA Work Period, <br />scheduled or assigned pursuant to the <br />Department's work schedule policy. Each <br />workday shall consist of 12 hours of work <br />and a 30 minute paid meal period. During <br />each 28 day FLSA Work Period, employees <br />shall work 162.5 hours. Upon completion of <br />this work schedule, employees will earn an <br />additional two (2) hours and 30 minutes of <br />vacation time, provided they do not take <br />leave without pay during that Work Period. <br />Employees assigned to this schedule are <br />compensated for their meal periods. <br />Consequently, if an employee is unable to <br />take his or her meal period, or is <br />interrupted during his or her meal period, <br />he or she shall not receive further <br />compensation. <br /> <br />b. 207(k) 7/12.5 Work Schedule Detention. <br />Employees shall work three (3) 12 hour and <br />30 minute workdays in one (1) seven day <br />period and four (4) 12 hour and 30 minute <br />workdays in the next seven (7) day period, <br />or alternatively, four (4) 12 hour and 30 <br />minute workdays in the first seven (7) day <br />period and three (3) 12 hour and 30 minute <br />workdays in the following seven (7) day <br />period. This cycle shall be repeated twice <br />each 28 day FLSA Work Period. Effective <br />November 1, 2004, each workday shall consist <br />of 11 hours and 30 minutes of work and a one <br />(1) hour meal period, 30 minutes of which <br />shall be paid and 30 minutes of which shall <br />be unpaid, for a total of 12 hours and 30 <br />minutes. During each 28 day FLSA Work <br />Period, employees assigned to the 207 (k) <br />7/12.5 Work Schedule shall earn one (1) hour <br />of vacation time if they do not take leave <br />wi thout pay during that Work Period. <br />Detention Officers will be compensated at <br />the time and a half overtime rate for all <br />time worked in excess of their regular work <br />shift of 12.5 hours per workday. The <br />overtime compensation will apply only to <br />actual time worked beyond the regular shift <br />and calculated in increments of six (6) <br />minutes. <br /> <br />c. 207(k)4/10.5 Work Schedule-Detention <br />Administration.
