<br />ARTICLE V <br /> <br />5.0 ASSIGNMENT AND OTHER SPECIAL PAY ADDITIVES <br /> <br />5.1 Assignment Pay Differentials. <br /> <br />Effective the first day of the first full month following <br />Council approval of this Agreement, assignment pay <br />differentials, as listed herein and throughout the contract, <br />will, in each case, be added individually and separately to <br />the employee's base salary. In no event shall one <br />assignment pay differential be added to the employee's base <br />salary as a basis for the calculation of an additional pay <br />differential. <br /> <br />A. An incumbent in the class of Police Services Dispatcher <br />who is continuously and regularly assigned to and <br />actually performing in a lead supervisory and trainer <br />capacity over an assigned shift of Police Services <br />Dispatchers will be paid at a rate set ten (10) salary <br />rate ranges (approximately 5.0%) above his or her then <br />current base monthly salary step. <br /> <br />B. Personnel in the class of Forensic Specialist I, who <br />are regularly and continuously assigned to and actually <br />performing duties in a "lead" supervisory capacity over <br />a primary functional unit of Forensic Specialist I <br />employees, will be paid at a rate set ten (10) salary <br />rate ranges (approximately 5.0%) above their then <br />current base monthly salary step. <br /> <br />C. An incumbent in the class of Police Officer who is <br />continuously and regularly assigned to and actually <br />performing duties of a Corporal will be paid at a rate <br />set five (5) salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5%) <br />above his or her then current base monthly salary step. <br /> <br />Effective July 1, 2005, if a Corporal is assigned to <br />lead a work unit without a Sergeant, he or she will be <br />paid an additional five (5) salary rate ranges <br />(approximately 2.5%) above his or her base monthly <br />salary step for such assignment. At the present time, <br />Directed Patrols and Civic Center Patrol units are <br />examples of such assignments. <br /> <br />D. An incumbent in the class of Detention Officer who is <br />continuously and regularly assigned to and actually <br />performing duties of a Senior Detention Officer will be <br />paid at a rate set five (5) salary rate ranges <br />(approximately 2.5%) above his or her then current base <br />monthly salary step. <br /> <br />16 <br />
