<br />or injury while on authorized vacation, each full <br />day of such confinement, when confirmed by a <br />physician's statement and approval of the Police <br />Chief, may be deducted from the computation of <br />vacation expended and charged against the <br />employee's accumulated sick leave. <br /> <br />2. No employee may carryover from one calendar year <br />to the next, more than the equivalent of two (2) <br />regular vacation periods from the previous two <br />(2) years, and vacation not taken beyond that <br />amount is forfeited. A regular vacation period is <br />defined as the maximum amount of vacation earned <br />in a calendar year as provided in Subsection A, <br />supra. <br /> <br />3. No employee shall have a right to accumulate or <br />split his or her vacation, but the same may be <br />allowed or required by the Police Chief. <br /> <br />10.3 Longevity Vacation. <br /> <br />A. Each permanent employee is granted additional hours of <br />vacation leave with pay for each computed year of full- <br />time, continuous city service as set forth in the <br />following table.
