achieve employment, assist with job retention and career growth so they can break the cycle of <br />poverty, avoid homelessness and improve their quality of life. WHW typically serves women <br />who face one or more barriers to employment including situations such as domestic violence, <br />divorce, homelessness, illiteracy, rehabilitation, and transition as emancipated youth, refugees or <br />parolees. Many of these women need assistance building courage, preparing for the work place, <br />accessing resources and gaining new work skills for job advancement or re-entry in order to <br />increase their income. Based on current HUD guidelines, 100% of the clients who access our <br />services are of very low income. The past year's data of overall clients served show that 35% <br />were Hispanic/Latino, 52% Caucasian, 5% Black/African American, 2% Asian/White, 3% Black <br />African American/White and 1 % each Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander, American <br />Indian/Alaska Native, and American Indian or Alaska Native/White. <br />The primary goal of WHW for the period of the funding is to assist low-income women in <br />achieving employment, job retention and career growth by providing professional clothing and <br />employment search support free of charge so they can break the cycle of poverty and avoid <br />homelessness. Objectives for the period include: <br />• To provide a professional wardrobe to 120 low-income women from the city of Santa <br />Ana <br />• To offer each WHW client from the city of Santa Ana the opportunity to utilize the <br />programs and services available through the Business Learning Center <br />Grant funds will be utilized to offset the salary expenses of the program manager, the boutique <br />assistant, and the receptionist/intake specialist. <br />Note: Since the initial application was submitted, the following staffing changes have occurred: <br />• Program Director title has been changed to Program Manager <br />• Elizabeth Butterfield has been replaced by Bratiel Aghasi <br />• The position of Fashion Assistant has been eliminated <br />• Personal Shopper job title has been changed to Boutique Assistant <br />Schedule of Performance <br />Estimate the number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served during the 12-month <br />contract period per quarter: <br />Quarter 1: <br />July 1 — September 30 <br />Quarter 2: <br />October 1 — December 31 <br />Quarter 3: <br />January 1 — March 31 <br />Quarter 4: <br />April 1 — June 30 <br />Invoicing Schedule <br />30 <br />Persons <br />30 <br />Persons <br />30 <br />Persons <br />30 <br />Persons <br />Total 120 <br />Persons <br />Estimate the amount of grant funds to be requested during the 12-month contract period on a <br />quarterly basis: <br />Quarter 1: <br />July 1 — September 30 <br />$ <br />1,250 <br />Quarter 2: <br />October 1 — December 31 <br />$ <br />1,250 <br />Quarter 3: <br />January 1 — March 31 <br />$ <br />1,250 <br />Quarter 4: <br />April 1 — June 30 <br />$ <br />1,250 <br />Total <br />$ <br />5,000 <br />EXHIBIT <br />A <br />
