2) Bidding Assistance Phase <br />and Scope -of -Work l -S♦ <br />Fifteen (15) copies of the <br />bound Contract <br />Documents, forming <br />complete bid packages, <br />will be provided to the <br />City for distribution to <br />prospective contractors. <br />The City will send notices inviting bids to the selected prospective contractors. <br />Metcalf & Eddy will attend a pre -bid site visit with the prospective bidders. It is <br />assumed that four (4) weeks will be allotted between bid package distribution and bid <br />submittal. M &E will prepare any addendum that may be necessary. The city will <br />distribute the addendum. <br />3) CONSTRUCTION -PHASE SERVICES <br />The Metcalf & Eddy will also perform services for construction- related support for <br />equipping the new pump station. <br />A. Respond to questions on the Plans and Specifications during the bid period. <br />B. Attend the pre - construction meeting. <br />C. Review and approve shop drawings, equipment specifications, samples, and <br />other submittals for compliance with the Plans and Specifications. <br />D. Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and provide clarifications of the <br />Plans and Specifications during the construction process. <br />E. Evaluate and respond to contractor's request for change orders. Provide plan <br />revisions and details as necessary. <br />F. Perform periodic site visits during construction to review progress and attend <br />construction meetings. <br />Metcalf & Eddy will attend the project preconstruction meeting with the City staff and <br />the successful contractor. Metcalf & Eddy will assist in the interpretation of technical <br />specifications or questions about site conditions. Metcalf & Eddy will process up to <br />40 Shop Drawing Submittals, including initial submittals and re- submittals. Metcalf & <br />Eddy will respond to up to 60 Contractor's Requests for Clarification (RFCs), <br />- Requests for Information (RFIs), and/or Deviation Requests. Metcalf & Eddy will <br />prepare record drawings per the Contractor's "as- built" plan set, and will provide one <br />(1) set of full -size Mylar drawings to the City.
