<br />considered time worked for computation of overtime according to the Fair Labor <br />Standards Act. <br /> <br />E. President's Leave Time. During the term ofthis Agreement, the City agrees to grant <br />the Union President twenty (20) hours per week paid time off which shall be charged <br />against a Union Leave Bank and subject to the following terms and conditions: <br /> <br />1. The Union President will conduct any Union business performed during the <br />twenty (20) hours per week off the worksite. However, the President may <br />conduct Union business on worksites pursuant to Article XVIII, Section 18.2, <br />Worksite Access provision ofthe MOO. <br /> <br />2. The Department Director ofthe Union President may approve additional time <br />off for the Union President for Union seminars and other business on a <br />prescheduled basis. Such additional time off shall be paid for by the Union <br />or from the President's vacation or compensatory time bank. <br /> <br />3. The Department Director ofthe Union President will schedule the Union <br />President to be offsite for four (4) hours each day to conduct Union business, <br />upon request of the Union. The Department Director shall schedule the <br />Union President to be onsite working on City business four (4) hours each <br />day five (5) days a week The Department Director may change the schedule <br />ofthe Union President upon reasonable notice to the Union President. <br /> <br />4. During the period oftime the Union President is performing City work, he or <br />she shall receive no phone calls or visitors. Persons who call or wish to see <br />the Union President during his or her work time shall be referred to the <br />Union's offsite headquarters. <br /> <br />5. Time paid for conducting Union business shall not count towards the <br />computation of overtime. <br /> <br />6. The Union shall reimburse the City for 100% of the salary, including any <br />premium payments and benefit costs for the President's leave time. Such <br />reimbursement may be from the bank established pursuant to this Agreement <br />or directly from the Union. <br /> <br />7. The Union agrees to pay for Union Leave and President's Leave within thirty <br />(30) days of receiving the bill from the City. The bill will be sent on a <br />monthly basis. If the bill is not paid within thirty (30) days, the City shall <br />deduct such amount from the Union dues collected from the employees on <br />behalf ofthe Union. In the event a portion of the bill is rightfully contested, <br />the City shall only deduct the non-contested portion from employees's dues. <br />Any issues related to the bill must be brought to the attention of the Executive <br /> <br />61 <br />
