<br />22.1 <br /> <br />22.2 <br /> <br />22.3 <br /> <br />22.4 <br /> <br />22.5 <br /> <br />22.6 <br /> <br />ARTICLE XXII <br /> <br />22.0 MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS <br /> <br />Station Selection. Staffing vacancies that develop due to <br />new positions, promotions, demotions, separations, and <br />other long-term absences will be filled by an equitable <br />bidding policy based on seniority in rank. Said policy <br />will be outlined in the Manual of Operations and will be <br />administered by the Deputy Chief of Operations. However, <br />the Fire Department shall retain the authority to assign <br />personnel for proper administration and efficiency. <br /> <br />A. For the duration of this contract, all suppression <br />vacancies on the floor shall be filled by seniority in <br />rank basis only. <br /> <br />B. The Department-wide bid system shall remain in effect <br />for the duration of this Agreement. <br /> <br />Preventive Medicine Program. The City shall continue to <br />maintain a comprehensive preventive medicine program for <br />all employees covered by this Agreement, who, during the <br />course and scope of their employment, are exposed to <br />communicable diseases, with the City to pay all necessary <br />expenses in connection with such program. The City <br />reserves the right to determine which medical facility or <br />facilities will be used for any such program. <br /> <br />Credit Union Deduction. The City shall permit an employee <br />covered by this Agreement to have a deduction made from <br />his or her payroll check for the Santa Ana Federal <br />Employee's Credit Union provided that the employee <br />executes a written authorization on the payroll deduction <br />form provided by the City. <br /> <br />Meals. The City shall continue to require that all <br />affected "safety-member" personnel assigned to the 24-hour <br />shift schedule eat all on-duty meals together. <br /> <br />Residency. Effective as soon as practicable following the <br />execution of this Agreement, the City shall perform any <br />and all acts that are necessary so as to remove all <br />limitations upon where employees covered by this Agreement <br />may reside. <br /> <br />Outside Employment. The City's outside employment policy <br />shall be satisfied by employees completing an application <br />form once a year in the month of July or upon change of <br /> <br />81 <br />
