<br />'-' <br /> <br />'wi <br /> <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br /> <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA - FY 2002-03 <br /> <br />GOALS AND OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />Name of Organization: Vietnamese Community of Orange County, Inc. <br /> <br />Program Name: Southeast Asian Youth Gang/Crime Preyention/Intervention <br /> <br />Program Goat(s): <br /> <br />(1) To preyent the number of SEA youths residing in Santa Ana from further gang <br />involvement; (2) To reduce the recidivism rate of SEA repeated incarcerated offenders; (3) To <br />increase parental understanding and communication with children in the SEA <br />communi tv. <br /> <br />Objectives: MUST INCLUDE NUMBER OF SANTA ANA CLIENTS BEING SERVED <br /> <br />1. Of the 30 at-risk low-income Santa Ana's SEA school youths ages 10 through 18 who receive <br />our weekly counseling services for at least 4 months within a twelve month period, at least 75% <br />(23) vouths will not get further involved in gang or criminal activities. <br />2. Of the 10 Santa Ana's incarcerated youths in probation-run detention centers who receive our <br />anti-gang & crime/drug weekly counseling within a twelve (12) month period, at least 60% (6) <br />will not recidivate within the 6 months following their releases, in order to reduce the rate of <br />recidivism from 60% to less than 40%. <br />3. Of the 40 parents of above 40 youth clients, 100% (40) will receive on going counseling <br />services and/or 1-2 parent education sessions (102 hours each) during a 12 month period; at least <br />70% (28) will improve their understanding of their children's needs and parent-child <br />communication. <br /> <br />Instructions: <br /> <br />].
