Program Name: Southeast Asian Youth Gang/Crime Preyention/Intervention Program Goat(s): (1) To preyent the number of SEA youths residing in Santa Ana from further gang involvement; (2) To reduce the recidivism rate of SEA repeated incarcerated offenders; (3) To increase parental understanding and communication with children in the SEA communi tv. Objectives: MUST INCLUDE NUMBER OF SANTA ANA CLIENTS BEING SERVED 1. Of the 30 at-risk low-income Santa Ana's SEA school youths ages 10 through 18 who receive our weekly counseling services for at least 4 months within a twelve month period, at least 75% (23) vouths will not get further involved in gang or criminal activities. 2. Of the 10 Santa Ana's incarcerated youths in probation-run detention centers who receive our anti-gang & crime/drug weekly counseling within a twelve (12) month period, at least 60% (6) will not recidivate within the 6 months following their releases, in order to reduce the rate of recidivism from 60% to less than 40%. 3. Of the 40 parents of above 40 youth clients, 100% (40) will receive on going counseling services and/or 1-2 parent education sessions (102 hours each) during a 12 month period; at least 70% (28) will improve their understanding of their children's needs and parent-child communication.
