<br />ADDENDUM NO.1 <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR PROVIDING A FOOTBALL/SOCCER <br />SCOREBOARD AND MARQUEE AT THE SANTA ANA STADIUM <br /> <br />RFP Reference No. 06-091 PRCSA <br />Date Due: August 16,2006,5:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given that the City of Santa Ana, Parks, Recreation and Community <br />Services Agency has made certain modifications, additions, and/or deletions, in the <br />specifications to RFP No. 06-091 PRCSA. This addendum shall become a part of the <br />original Request for Proposal due by 5 :00 p.m. on August 16, 2006. <br /> <br />This addendum is provided in response to questions asked at the pre-proposal conference <br />conducted on August 2, 2006. <br /> <br />L Section II.A., Item 5: Will the City assess a penalty to the selected vendor if <br />they are unable to secure sponsors within required one-year time frame? No, <br />however, when selecting a vendor, the City will be looking very closely at <br />potential vendors' past performance in this area. <br /> <br />2. Section II, Paragraph 2: What happens if it rains in December? Will this <br />cause a delay in the time required for the scoreboard to be installed? Rain <br />should not significantly delay the installation of the scoreboard, as the field has an <br />adequate drainage system. However, we are asking that the selected vendor be <br />ready to begin installation by December 1 so that, even with delays, the project <br />can be completed by December 31. The City will do its part to accommodate this <br />time1ine. <br /> <br />3. Section II.B., Item 3-a-4 and 3-b-5: How much power will be needed to run <br />through the conduit to operate the scoreboard and the marquee? The <br />scoreboard will require approximately 10,790 watts of power. The marquee will <br />require approximately 12,000 watts of power. <br /> <br />4. Section II.B., Item 4 to be revised to add item m to read as follows: <br />Access to the scoreboard shall be from the south side ofthe field using the service <br />ramp located on the 6th Street side of the stadium. <br /> <br />5. Section II.B., Item 4a: Who will be responsible for routing power to the <br />conduit for the scoreboard and the marquee? The contractor shall assume the <br />responsibility of providing and installing a new conduit (size as large as <br />necessary), as well as pulling its own wiring to the scoreboard and the marquee. <br />(A schematic of the Stadium is provided to this addendum as Exhibit A, which <br />depicts the exact location of the conduit from the press box to the base of the <br />scoreboard, and to the marquee.) An additional empty conduit of the same size <br />shall also be installed for future use to the scoreboard. These costs are to be <br />included in the vendor's proposal. <br /> <br />
