Our archaeologists and <br />paleontologists conduct pre -construction site assessments through literature and archival <br />record searches, field surveys, and, if necessary, subsequent testing and recovery programs. <br />Mitigation monitoring of earthmoving construction activities ensures that significant fossils, artifacts, <br />and ecofacts encountered will be appropriately recorded, collected, curated, and documented in <br />accordance with federal and State regulations, professional guidelines, and local government <br />requirements and recommendations. The efforts of our Cultural Resources team ensure that these <br />nonrenewable resources are saved for future scientific study and public education.
