5.3 Event Monitoring Service for NEAX24O0IPX <br />The Vendor shall provide, install and maintain, at no additional charge to the City, an Event <br />Monitoring Service (with associated equipment) to each oi• the City's NEC NEAX 2400IPX <br />systems or like systems.. <br />• The Event Monitoring Serviee shall monitor for- system alarms and environmental <br />conditions and connectivity provided by the City. <br />• The Vendor shall continuously monitor the output of these Event Monitoring units on <br />a twenty-four (24) hour per day, seven (7) days per week, fifty-two (52) weeks per <br />year basis and will take prompt corrective action when an irregularity/problem is <br />detected. <br />• in those instances when a major system or environmental problem is detected, the <br />Vendor will promptly alert the City Telecommunications Coordinator or alternate <br />designated City contact person. <br />• In the event that the Event Monitoring Service fails to detect and alert of an <br />environmental or system condition, which causes damage to the City's equipment: <br />the Vendor shall make all necessary repairs to restore the equipment to the <br />manufacturer's specifications and full operation at no additional cost to the City. <br />5.4 Telephone Instruments <br />The Vendor will: <br />• Service and maintain in good working condition all telephone instruments in use <br />throughout the City on all City telephone systems in accordance with the <br />manufacturer's technical specifications. <br />• Either repair or promptly replace faulty telephone instruments with identical OEM <br />equipment. <br />• At all times, maintain on City premises, an adequate supply of spare OEM telephone <br />instruments of each model currently in use on the City telephone systems. <br />5.5 Training <br />During each year of the agreement, at a time selected by the City, one equipment-training <br />course may be selected from the list below for each of three (3) persons designated by the <br />City. The courses will be provided by the selected Vendor at no additional cost to the City. <br />CcurS2S: <br />• NEAX2400IPX Customer Administration Programming. <br />• NEAX2000IPS Customer Administrative Programming <br />• Basic IP Networking Fundamentals <br />Further, the Vendor will provide additional training for any new systems that are purchased <br />by the City from the Vendor during the term of agreement. <br />5.6 Consultation Services <br />Page 13 of 43 <br />
