Program Statement <br />The Santa Ana Partnership is proposed as a residential and non-residential partnership <br />between the Southern California Edison (SCE) and the City of Santa Ana. Santa Ana has <br />identified opportunities for improving energy efficiency in Santa Ana communities and <br />has identified specific needs for additional support and assistance from SCE in addressing <br />these opportunities. The program will assist and facilitate the city, its residents and <br />businesses in understanding, managing, and reducing their energy use and costs, and <br />position Santa Ana as a leader in energy management practices. <br />The City is committed to improving energy efficiency in Santa Ana by delivering energy <br />efficiency information to the community and identifying and facilitating the <br />implementation of specific energy efficiency projects. SCE is committed to working in <br />partnership with Santa Ana on these activities to achieve energy savings goals, including <br />assisting with integrating energy efficiency considerations in decision processes relating <br />to building energy use. <br />The partnership can be instrumental in identifying retrofit opportunities in Santa Ana <br />public buildings and distributing comprehensive energy information to the community as <br />well as support the city's efforts to develop strategies to implement the Governor's <br />Executive Order 5-20-04, (The Green Building Action Plan) and comply with AB32. <br />The Partnership can also help the city in implementing new energy codes. <br />Attachment A <br />
