Relieve Hardy & Harper, Inc. of their bid in an amount of $4,613,000. <br />2. Award a contract to All American Asphalt, the lowest responsible <br />bidder, in accordance with unit bid prices in the estimated amount of <br />$5,006,430 for construction of Local Street Rehabilitation-Thin <br />Overlay Phase 3. <br />3. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $5,824,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />This project is the final phase of the thin overlay treatment that is <br />part of the City's $100 million investment to rebuild neighborhood <br />streets throughout the City (Exhibit 1). This project will restore the <br />pavement of several local streets that require the least amount of repair <br />work as identified in the City's pavement management system. In <br />addition, the project will replace damaged concrete curbs, gutters, <br />sidewalks, and curb ramps. Once completed, these improvements will <br />enhance ride quality and visual appearance of the neighborhoods. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on May 19 and 21, 2008, and bids <br />were opened on Tune 5, 2008.
